YÖKAK Monitoring Team at our University
The Monitoring Team, assigned by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) within the scope of quality assurance studies at our university, made evaluations by meeting the academic, administrative staff and students of our university.
Prof. Dr Veysel Eren, Prof. Dr Ahmet Şahbaz and student evaluator Erdoğan Taha Akbaş took place in the commission chaired by Prof. Dr Ayşegül Aşkın.
The team, who first met our Rector Prof. Dr Fethi Ahmet Polat, then held a meeting with the Institution Quality Coordinator Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, vice-rectors Prof. Dr. Murad Aydın Şanda, Prof. Dr. Ulaş Çaydaş, the new term coordinator of the process, Prof. Dr. Esin Kaya and Secretary General Harun Demir. At the meeting, Deputy Quality Coordinator of the Institution Assist. Prof. Veysel Emir Eke made a presentation to the Monitoring Team about the quality assurance activities of our University and the studies carried out in the context of the PDCA cycle. In the presentation, which also included the Institutional Internal Evaluation Report (KİDR) and Institutional Feedback Report (KGBR), "open areas for improvement" were discussed. Furthermore, during the meeting where the Monitoring Team and the Committee Members exchanged ideas, evaluations and suggestions that will ensure the dissemination of the quality culture in our University were handled.
Later, in the session that started with the presentation of the Rector Prof. Dr Fethi Ahmet Polat, the Monitoring Team held a meeting with the University Senate on quality processes and practices, and then interviews were held with the academic staff of our University, associate degree, undergraduate, graduate students and administrative staff about the developments and regulations at the University. After the student meetings, the team met with the Heads of Departments of our University and ended their visit after the evaluation meeting with Rector Polat.
