We Will Support Malazgirt Melon
The 1st Malazgirt Melon Festival, attended by Muş Governor Avni Çakır, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, our Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, Malazgirt District Governor Göksu Bayram, and Malazgirt Mayor Cengiz Altın, as well as the participation of the Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Mehmet Kasım Ermiş, took place at Malazgirt City Square.
The program began with a bicycle race and a public run, followed by protocol speeches. In his speech at the festival, our Rector Alican emphasized that our university will conduct scientific studies on the agricultural and nutritional value of Malazgirt melon, and they will take the necessary steps to increase the recognition of Malazgirt melon from local to global.
The festival continued with a presentation by our university's Folk Dance Team and concluded with a melon eating contest. At the end of the festival, awards were presented to the winners of the competitions.
