We Met with Students at the Promotion and Preference Fair
We met with students in Van and Bitlis as part of the East Anatolian and Southeastern Anatolian Universities Promotion and Preference Fair.
Assist. Prof. Dr. Teymur Erol (Director of Career Development Application and Research Center (KARGEM) of our university), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salih Gülen (member of KARGEM), Orumbay Yaşar (Head of Department of Health, Culture and Sports), and Savaş Demirel (unit head of Student Affairs Department) participate the organizations hosted by Van Yüzüncü Yıl and Bitlis Eren Universities. Our academic and administrative staff, who participated in the fair where 13 universities had stands, provided guidance to the students who will make a choice and gave information about the opportunities our university offers to its students. The physical conditions of our university, academic achievements, scientific studies, social, cultural and sportive opportunities, transportation and accommodation opportunities were explained to the candidate students with visuals and brochures. Students received information about departments and programs and job opportunities after graduation.
Teymur Erol stated that these activities offer students the opportunity to research about universities and help students make more conscious preferences. Erol said, “We informed students about 10 faculties, 6 vocational schools, 2 institutes and 16 application and research centers and our continuing education and training activities. We talked about our classrooms suitable for physical conditions, our laboratory facilities, and the educational opportunities we offer to 11,000 students in an indoor area of 200 thousand square meters established in 6 campuses. We gave information about the accommodation opportunities offered to our students in our city.
The students who visited our stand welcomed the free use of our 2 semi-Olympic swimming pools and gyms, free ski courses and sporting tournaments in the winter months. We are waiting for our new students in the 2022-2023 Academic Year.”
