We are happy to be in Malazgirt on the 1st Anniversary of our Rectorate

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican visited the team of the Malazgirt Battlefield Identification Historical and Archaeological Survey Project.

Our Rector, who examined the excavation area during the visit, was accompanied by our Rector Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özalper and Malazgirt Project Academic Executive Prof. Dr. Adnan Çevik.

Our Rector expressed his happiness to be in Malazgirt on the 1st anniversary of his appointment as rector. He also stated that this is the 15th time he has been to Malazgirt in 12 months and wished success to the team contributing to the project in the new excavation season. 

In his statement during the visit, our Rector emphasised that the determination of the Malazgirt Battlefield and archaeological studies carried out in partnership with our University will shed light on the history of our country. He appreciated the work of the team and thanked all academicians and researchers involved in the project.
