The Şahi Rocket Launched

The rocket named "Şahi", designed and developed by the rocket team of our university within the framework of the project named "Design and Manufacturing of a Model Rocket" and supported by the Eastern Anatolia Development Agency (DAKA), was fired in front of a crowded audience.
The rocket, which has a unique value with its many features, was launched by the Rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat, Gendarmerie Special Operations Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Cengiz Yanık, Vice Rector Ulaş Çaydaş, and team captain Volkan Akgöl with a remote detonator. Launched from a ramp on a 4 m sigma profile, the rocket reached the planned altitude of 500 meters. Having reached the desired altitude, the rocket was disintegrated with the help of electronic circuits and sensors, and its main parts landed safely with the help of a parachute. 
the Fuel was Produced in the Laboratories of the University
The rocket aroused interested because its fuel was produced in our university’s laboratories. The rocket’s uniqueness was proved as it can produce its own fuel and it successfully passed all the tests. 
"All Tests Done with Care"
Project Manager Prof. Dr. Çaydaş also provided various information about the exterior design of the rocket. "The avionics system is manufactured as oval and folded to balance the center of gravity of the entire system. In this way, both the circuit board is not affected by vibrations and the static of the whole system is prevented from deteriorating. Rocket nose cone, fuselage and fin structures were determined by optimizing with aerodynamic analysis. A mechanical spring mechanism and servo engines were used as a parachute rescue system. Çaydaş indicated that all the tests were conducted with care.
