The Project "Buckwheat Cultivation and Dissemination in Muş Ecology," Focusing on Meeting with Celiac Patients

Muş Alparslan University organized an event under the project "Buckwheat Cultivation and Dissemination in Muş Ecology," focusing on meeting with celiac patients. The event was attended by various officials, including the Governor of Muş, Mayor, Chief Public Prosecutor, Rector, members of the General Assembly, Secretary of the Special Provincial Administration, and more.

The project aimed to meet the gluten-free dietary needs of celiac patients by cultivating buckwheat on a 50-decare field, resulting in a successful harvest three months later. The event highlighted that buckwheat could be an alternative source of income for farmers and is an essential wheat type for beekeepers.

The significance and impact of buckwheat, offering hope to celiac patients, were discussed during the event. Gluten-free delicacies made from buckwheat flour were also presented. The program concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to contributors, and 70 celiac patients received free flour and gluten-free food packages prepared by Muş Municipality.
