The curtain opened for the last time in the 1st Theatre Days!
"Muş Alparslan University Theatre Days", which was held at our university and saturated the people of Muş with art, met with the audience for the last time with the fifth and last play "The Glass Menagerie".
Written by Tennessee Williams, directed by Lecturer Mehmet Önder and staged by Defne Çoban, Gökmen Çınar, Sıla Çiçek and Mehmet Akif Güzel, "The Glass Menagerie" gave art lovers emotional moments.
The play, which is set in 1930s America, tells the story of a troubled and broken family living together but each living in their own dream world, touching on the collapsed lives of family members, each of whom took refuge in their own world that could break at any moment because they could not adapt to the world, received full marks from the audience.
The play was attended by Mayor Feyat Asya, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican and his wife Asst. Prof. Songül Alican, Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Mehmet Arif Taşdemir, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, Rector Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atike Yılmaz, Rector Advisor and KÜSAM Director Asst. Prof. Ender Can Dönmez, many academic and administrative staff, students and the people of Muş participated.
At the end of the play, Director Lecturer Mehmet Önder, KÜSAM Director Asst. Prof. Ender Can Dönmez, Assistant Director Şeyma Önder; Actors Seda Nur Taç, Fatma Şahin, Can Zengin, Diyar Kaplan, Serkan Özdemir, Ferda Çelik, Defne Çoban, Gökmen Çınar, Sıla Çiçek, Mehmet Akif Güzel and support team members Metehan Erkenez, Yusuf Enes Dinç and Ahmet Bulut were presented certificates of appreciation.
Speaking at the end of the programme, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican thanked the Director who contributed to the programme Lecturer Mehmet Önder, Malatya Turgut Özal University Performing Arts Department students, Muş Alparslan University staff and our stakeholders. Underlining that the Theatre Days will continue in Malazgirt and Bulanık, our Rector stated that they will continue to bring Muş and our University together with art with new projects. Muş Mayor Feyat Asya and Muş Youth and Sports Director Mehmet Arif Demir thanked everyone who contributed and presented gifts to the theatre team.
