Technology Research and Project Coordination Unit (TAPKOB) is Established at Our University
Muş Alparslan University establishes a new centre to carry out works that will provide added value in science, technology, culture, art and sports. Technology Research and Project Coordination Unit (TAPKOB), new automation systems, independent analysis experts, strengthened infrastructure and project support units are put at the service of academics.
TAPKOB, which is established to keep pace with scientific developments and present technological opportunities effectively to the service of academicians, will gather BAYPUAM, BAP and Central Laboratories operating as academic research and project units under a single roof. Also, it will accelerate all academic and administrative processes in scientific studies by creating an institutional structure. The Vice-Rector and the Dean of Faculty of Engineering-Architecture, Prof. Dr Ulaş Çaydaş, who is appointed as the head of the unit, states that “One of the essential objectives of TAPKOB is to provide all kinds of facilities and opportunities for academic staff who contributes to science to benefit from national and international research support programs and grant funds. Our university's technical infrastructure, workshop, and laboratory facilities will not only be used by our own academics, but also academics working in regional universities will benefit from these opportunities with the establishment of the unit and its activation within the framework of the protocols signed with neighbouring universities. At the same time, Muş Alparslan University academicians will also be able to benefit from all the possibilities of partner universities.”
Prof. Dr Ulaş Çaydaş further states that the first of the applications implemented by TAPKOB and put into service for academicians use has become an easy and accessible software system that has a systematic operation in itself, including sample barcoding, photographing, online appointment-offer creation modules, and that is ready for TÜRKAK accreditation.
By emphasizing the importance of Muş Alparslan University Technology Transfer Office, which was established in order to contribute to our university's gaining lasting superiority in science and technology production and the delivery of the produced technology to the industry and society in line with the developing needs, Prof. Dr Ulaş Çaydaş says that Muş Alparslan University Technology Transfer Office is also included under the roof of TAPKOB. Additionally, Prof. Dr Çaydaş remarks that “Alparslan Technology Transfer Office with its 5 units (Education, Project Support, University-Industry Cooperation, Patent and Entrepreneurship) which carry out activities on information, training, project support, cooperation, intellectual property rights, entrepreneurship and incorporation, aiming to make the academy-industry coordination efficient and supporting research studies has also started to carry on its activities under the roof of TAPKOB.”
