Scientific Research Methods and Publication Ethics Conference at MAUN
A conference on "Scientific Research Methods and Publication Ethics" was organized by the Career Research and Development Center (KARGEM) and Scientific Journals Coordinatorship at MAUN in cooperation with the Eastern Anatolia Development Agency and Kafkas University.
The conference was delivered by Prof. Dr. Isa Ozaydin, Kafkas University Scientific Journals Coordinator Veterinarian. Making the opening speech in the program, Rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat underlined the importance of quality in scientific publications and underlined that they will raise the bar of academic quality at Muş Alparslan University. “I am grateful to all our professors who contributed academically to our university. They are our picture of pride” he added and thanked Prof. Dr. İsa Özaydın and the audience for their interest.
Vice Rector and Scientific Journals Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ulaş Çaydaş gave information about the purpose of establishment and working areas of the coordinatorship in his presentation. He talked about foreign language support, structural evaluation of scientific publications, statistical and data analysis, plagiarism control and artificial intelligence proofreading services to be provided to graduate students and academic staff within the coordinatorship.
The conference was held in two sessions. Having been a scientific journal editor for 28 years, Prof. Dr. Özaydın shared his knowledge and experience. After the question and answer session, the conference ended with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation and gift to Prof. Dr. İsa Özaydın by MAUN Rector.
