Rector came together with international students at lunch programme

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican came together with international students who were accepted to our university from 11 different countries in the 2024-2025 academic year at a lunch programme.

Our Rector, who met and chatted with the students one-by-one during the programme, emphasised that each international student is a voluntary cultural ambassador of our country and said the following:

‘Our international students studying at our university from different countries of the world contribute to the development of cultural mosaic in education. During their time at our university, they will get to know the cultural richness of both our country and Muş and will return to their countries as ‘cultural ambassadors’. I believe that our international students will spread the education they have received here, the hospitality and beauty they have seen even more when they return to their own countries.’

Stating that they see international students as a part of the university family, our Rector added the following: ‘It is our priority to meet the basic needs of our students such as accommodation, transport, health and nutrition. In addition, we also aim to ensure that our students establish a healthy and interactive communication with our university and our city. I would also like to thank our International Students Office, which has been working hard for more than three months to realise these goals.’

The programme, which was attended by approximately 30 international students, was also attended by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Yıldırım, Rector Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özalper, International Students Coordinator Lect. Yahya Adanır and Secretary General Harun Demir.
