Philosophy and Religious Sciences Masters with Thesis Program was opened within Mus Alparslan University Social Sciences Institute.

 
Students placed in the program will take courses such as Philosophy of Religion, Religious Education, Sociology of Religion, Psychology of Religion, History of Philosophy, Islamic Philosophy, History of Religions and Logic, and will graduate from the program by completing their master's theses. Candidates will have a good command of general philosophy and religious sciences terminology, acquire basic information about their fields, learn scientific research methods, have the ability to apply to classical and modern sources, make contemporary interpretation and criticism of texts in their field, and gain an interdisciplinary working perspective. Those who successfully graduate from the Philosophy and Religious Sciences Master with Thesis Program, which deals with ideas and discussions in the history of thought in the context of fields such as philosophy of religion, logic and sociology of religion, will be able to continue their academic life by entering the doctoral program if they complete the necessary conditions.

Stating that they plan to admit students to the program in the spring term of the 2021-2022 Academic Year, Head of Philosophy and Religious Sciences Department Assist. Prof. Dr. Member Yusuf Aydın made the following statements on the subject: “Philosophy and Religious Sciences Master with Thesis Program is a program that aims to deal with religion, social sciences and the history of thought at an academic level and to make it a teaching subject, to train science experts in these fields, and to provide expert staff to education and research institutions. In order to produce healthy religious knowledge in various fields of religious and social sciences, there is a great need for research that adopts an academic view as a principle. In the branches of science within the scope of the program, it is aimed to train personnel who have gained the competence to conduct scientific research, have adopted the rules of scientific thought and ethics, and have the qualities of questioning, development, productivity and participation in academic matters. It is among our aims to carry out scientific research and produce scientific results in order to find solutions to the problems of society in philosophy and religious sciences and to contribute to scientific knowledge.''
