Our University will host the 5th International Turkology Research Symposium

Our university is preparing to organise the 5th International Turkology Research Symposium (UTAS V) in cooperation with Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. The symposium, which will be held between 15-17 May 2025 at 1071 Malazgirt Congress and Culture Centre, aims to make significant contributions to academic studies in the field of Turkology.

In this context, Prof. Dr. Murat Öztürk, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ferit Yücebaş, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tolga Öntürk and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vural Öntürk from Van Yüzüncü Yıl University visited our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, Honorary President of the Symposium, in his office. Our Advisor to the Rector and Chairman of the Symposium Organising Committee Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özalper also attended the meeting.

A Strategic Academic Meeting for the Turkic World

Considered as one of the leading academic events in the field of Turkology, UTAS V is an important organisation closely followed by scholars not only from Turkey but also from all over the Turkic world. The symposium, which covers a wide range of academic fields such as Turkish language, literature, history and culture, will bring together academics from Turkey and abroad who are experts in their fields and will prepare the ground for scientific discussions and international academic collaborations.

The symposium, which will be held for the fifth time this year, aims to strengthen the common academic heritage of the Turkic world and develop new scientific perspectives. The event, where current research will be shared, will serve as a platform where important issues related to Turkish culture and civilisation will be discussed.
