Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat talked about our university as a guest on the "Student Affairs" program broadcast by TRT Haber. TRT news crew was guest in Muş for the program broadcast on Monday, July 26 (today) and shot in our complex.
At the opening of the program, it was emphasized that Muş Alparslan University, which was established on May 29, 2007, continues its educational journey with 10 faculties, 2 institutes, 6 vocational schools, 16 research centers and more than 600 academic staff. The program, continued with the statement given by our Rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat. Rector Polat started his speech by saying that Muş Alparslan University, a young university, is located in an important region. Continuing his words by stating that Muş is also in high rankings in terms of the number of licensed athletes, Polat underlined that when they took office, they realized this potential of the city and showed a special interest in the field of sports. Talking about the transformation process of the School of Physical Education and Sports into the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Polat said that the Faculty of Sports Sciences of Muş Alparslan University has now become a unique faculty with 5 departments as well as master's and doctoral programs.
He also touched upon agricultural works
In the continuation of his speech, Polat talked about the relationship between the region's agriculture and our university. Emphasizing that Muş is one of the priority provinces in agriculture, Polat said that Muş, along with Aksaray, takes the lead in Turkey, especially in roughage. Underlining that Muş Alparslan University was selected as a "Pilot State University" in the field of "Livestock" with the establishment of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, which was designed with a focus on agriculture, in 2017, Polat emphasized that all students who won the Faculty of Applied Sciences, without exception, are given scholarships every month. Polat noted that direct state scholarships are given to students who write and win this faculty among their first three choices.

Rector Polat continued his speech by describing the recently opened Faculty of Dentistry. Polat commented that Muş Alparslan University has stepped up with Dentistry, an extremely popular department with its employment opportunities and prestige.
Ideal faculty and student ratio
Stating that the number of students for per faculty member below 40 is an important indicator of academic quality, Polat assured parents and students in this sense. Polat continued his speech by explaining the social and sportive opportunities of our university. While explaining the social and sportive opportunities of the university, Polat highlighted the indoor sports hall with 2 semi-olympic swimming pools, the stadium for 2000 people in FIFA standards, which is about to come to an end, and the ski center, which is the only one in Turkey, with the feature of being zero to the university complex. Polat said that in terms of social and cultural aspects, the best cultural center in the Eastern Anatolia Region is Muş Alparslan University 1071 Malazgirt Congress and Culture Center. Rector Polat, who also talked about the sound studio and radio of our university, stated that these application areas are open to the use of students in an unlimited way. Polat also talked about student clubs, groups and branches, and assured that students will live a very active university life in terms of social and cultural aspects.
‘‘None of our students will have a sheltering problem.’’
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat added that our university offers its students extremely adequate and comfortable accommodation conditions, and that none of our students will have dormitory problems. Rector Polat underlined that it is possible for students to be fed in a quality and inexpensive way in the student cafeteria in the comfort of their family home, and concluded his speech by emphasizing that our university, which is a pilot state university on "Digital Transformation", offers its students an extremely fast and secure internet access at every point. Polat concluded his statement by saying, "Our students will find themselves in a university where they can study in a family environment."
