Muş Alparslan University and VEDAŞ Signed a Collaboration Protocol

A collaboration protocol was signed between MAUN Technical Sciences Vocational School (TBMYO) and Vangölü Elektrik Dağıtım (VEDAŞ) to provide practical electrical education to students. This strategic collaboration aims to strengthen university-industry cooperation by providing students with field experience. Dr. Fatih Şevgin, the Director of TBMYO on behalf of MAUN, and Şenol Büte, the Support Services Manager of VEDAŞ, participated in the protocol.

The collaboration protocol aims to implement practical lessons for students in the Electronics and Automation, and Electrical and Energy Departments of TBMYO within a jointly determined training program at VEDAŞ training sites. This will provide students with extensive field experience in the field of electricity. Under this protocol, students will receive practical training on topics such as electrical meter connections, fault analysis, loss-leakage detection, structures of 3-phase transformers, types and connections, insulators, breakers, disconnectors, surge protectors, lightning arresters, energy distribution conductors, poles, and their varieties.

Dr. Şevgin highlighted the advantages offered to students by the protocol, stating, 'Thanks to this collaboration, our students will have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice. The training sessions in the field will significantly contribute to the professional development of our students. Moreover, direct interaction with industry representatives will enable them to become qualified professionals meeting the needs of the sector. This collaboration not only benefits Muş Alparslan University and VEDAŞ but also opens the way for similar protocols with different institutions. Such partnerships will provide students with the opportunity to receive education in line with industry standards, thus helping them secure a more competitive position after graduation. In this regard, I extend my thanks to Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican for their support in initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education for our students.'"
