May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day Celebrated

MAUN Rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat attended the 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day celebrations organized by Muş Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports.

The celebrations started in the morning with the Youth and Sports Provincial Director Emrullah Güler laying a wreath at the Atatürk Monument in front of the Muş Government House. The Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ulaş Çaydaş attended the wreath laying ceremony representing our university.

19 Mayıs’ı Kutladık

Rektörümüz Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat Muş Gençlik ve Spor İl Müdürlüğü tarafından organize edilen 19 Mayıs Atatürk’ü Anma Gençlik ve Spor Bayramı kutlamalarına katıldı.

Celebrations then continued at the 1071 Sports Complex. MAUN Rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat participated in the event. Muş Governor Assoc. The celebration started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem with the participation of Prof. Dr. İlker Gündüzöz, Mayor Feyat Asya, Provincial Garrison Commander Colonel Serhat Ulucan and Chief Public Prosecutor Hüseyin Yavuz, public authorities, teachers, students, members of the press and the people of Muş.

In the program, which continued with speeches indicating the meaning and importance of the day, poems were read by the students and various folk dance performances were made.

Rector Polat, on the occasion of the 19th of May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, accompanied by the footsteps of a generation with a free mind and a free conscience, wishing our country to reach its 2023, 2053 and 2071 targets, and visited the archers team, including our teachers and students. Watching the show shots of the Mus Alparslan University Archery Group, Prof. Dr. Polat shot arrows accompanied by educators. The celebrations ended with a souvenir photo shoot with the athletes at the archery range.
