MAUN Projects Funded by TÜBİTAK

Project proposals from MAUN have been accepted for funding by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK).

Student-led supervised by Res. Asst. Kemal Sülük from the Department of Food Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, and Res. Asst. Gizem Hazan Akçay from the Department of Mechanical Engineering received funding within TÜBİTAK's Program for Supporting Research Projects by University Students. The project supervised by Res. Asst. Sülük focused on the management of food and green waste in the campus, whereas Res. Asst. Akçay's project aims to produce electricity from waste water in the campus.

Another student-led project accepted for funding is from the Faculty of Applied Sciences. Under the supervision of Res. Asst. Ayşe Nida Kurt from the Department of Plant Production and Technologies, Serhat Büyükyıldız and Mehmet Yıldırım, our students from the Faculty of Applied Sciences, had their project focusing on the effect of salt stress on germination and seedling characteristics accepted for funding.
