MAUN Laboratory of Plant and Animal Production Studies has been opened
In addition to MAUN Rector Prof. Mustafa Alican, Vice Rectors Prof. Yaşar Karadağ and Prof Kenan Yıldırım, Secretary General Harun Demir, Rector Advisors Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Özalper, Assist. Prof. Mustafa Yaşar, Deputy Secretary Generals Uğur İnan Kaki, Serhan Demir, and the Director of the Central Research Laboratories Application and Research Center İlhan Küçük, academicians and students attended attended the opening of the laboratory.
Muş Alparslan University was selected as the Pilot State University in the field of "Animal Husbandry" within the scope of the "Regional Development-Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Project" on December 12, 2018. Studies in this field have been started within the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the university.
In line with the targets of the Development Plan put into effect by Presidency, the "Agriculture and Livestock Studies Laboratory" will be opened in the field of Livestock at the university. In the laboratory,in the fields of "Animal Husbandr, scientific studies studies on determination of feed quality characteristics, milk and dairy products and soil analysis (physical and chemical) and erosion evaluation studies, studies on medicinal and aromatic plants, especially the breeding and variety registration of Muş Tulipy and in the fields of bee products, bee diseases studies on propolis, bee bread and pollen extraction, queen bee, in vitro bee breeding, honey production and biotechnology studies will be carried out.
The opening ceremony ended after the speeches of Rector Prof. Mustafa Alican and Vice-Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences Prof. Yaşar Karadağ, followed by a ribbon cutting and information about the machinery, equipment and devices in the laboratory.
