MAUN Continues Improvement Efforts within the Scope of Quality Process

Muş Alparslan University (MAUN) undergoes evaluations of its education, research activities, and administrative services' quality levels according to national and international quality standards, as mandated by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK).

Prof. Dr. Kenan Yıldırım, the Deputy Rector responsible for Quality at MAUN and also the Head of the MAUN Quality Commission, convened a meeting with Quality Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selçuk Sağır, Deputy Quality Coordinators Dr. Abdülmecit Yıldırım, Dr. Vedat Almalı, and quality office staff Emine Orhan and Sultan Ateş to discuss the evaluation of quality processes.

During the meeting, there was an exchange of views on the university's quality processes and what needs to be done, and a roadmap was determined. Subsequently, meetings were organized with department heads, faculties, colleges, vocational schools, and coordinators to prepare the MAUN Process Management Manual and ensure more effective management of quality processes.

Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Yıldırım emphasized that "this process is not solely the responsibility of the quality coordination; it is important that the work and processes are determined with the contribution of every unit within the university and that the process management manual is created." Quality Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selçuk Sağır provided detailed information about the preparation stages of the process management manual and offered practical recommendations on the topics and content that units should prepare.

At the end of the meeting, participants' questions and suggestions were heard, and all stakeholders agreed to complete the process management manual by November 30, 2023.
