Inter-University Ski North Discipline Turkey Championship Started

In cooperation with the Turkish University Sports Federation and our university, the “Inter-University Ski Northern Discipline Turkey Championship” started with the participation of 9 universities in Güzeldağ Ski Center.

The Inter-University Ski North Discipline Turkey Championship, which will be held on February 15-16, was organized by our university under the coordination of the Faculty of Sports Sciences and the Department of Health and Culture. The championship held in Güzeldağ Ski Center started with thestart signal of our Rector Prof. Fethi Ahmet Polat. Athletes from Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University, Atatürk University, Bitlis Eren University, Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University, Kastamonu University, Nişantaşı University, Middle East Technical University and Van Yüzüncü Yıl University participated in the championship, which will continue for 2 days in the category of classical and free races.

Our Athletes Marked the Races

In the Classic Style Ski Northern Discipline Turkey Championship held in the men’s category, our University Sports Sciences Faculty Student Ahmet Oğlağo came in first and Eyüp Güler came in second. Atatürk University athlete Abdurrahim Duman came in third in the competition. In the races held in the women’s category, Atatürk University athletes Mine Kılıç came in first and Zeynep Elif Durdanık came in second. Evin Kılıç, a student of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of our university, finished the race in third place.
