Department of Turkish Education Has Opened Master’s Program

Our university has added a new graduate program to its structure. A master's program with thesis in the field of Turkish Education was opened within the body of the Social Sciences Institute of Muş Alparslan University. The program, which appeals to candidates who want to specialize in the field of Turkish Education, set out to train scientists and researchers who carry out qualified and original scientific studies in their field.

 

 Turkish Education Master's Program will train experts with advanced academic competence in improving students' language skills. Students will take courses such as Literary Genres in Teaching Turkish, Teaching Turkish to Foreigners, Research Methods, Discourse Studies, Textological Applications in Turkish Teaching, Teaching the Main Sources of Turkish, Academic Writing Skills during the course periods and will write their specialization theses during the thesis period.

 

Candidates will graduate from the program with their master's thesis after successfully giving the theoretical and applied courses in the field of Turkish Education. Turkish educators, who are expected to use the current theoretical and applied knowledge that they will acquire in solving the problems they will encounter in the field, and to develop original ideas and practices, will receive the title of expert when they successfully complete the program.

 

 Head of Turkish Education Department, Asst. Prof. Bayram Arıcı made statements on the subject. Asst. Prof. Bayram Arıcı's statements are as follows: "Muş Alparslan University, Department of Turkish Language Education continues its academic life with 2 associate professors, 2 assistant professors, and 3 research assistants. In the spring semester of the 2021-2022 Academic Year, we will take our first students to the Turkish Education Master's Program within the Social Sciences Institute. We are waiting for determined and highly motivated candidates who want to improve themselves and renew their knowledge in the field of Turkish Education. We would like to thank everyone who supported us, especially our Rector, Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat who contributed to the opening of the master's program.
