At the 16th National Animal Husbandry Student Congress, our University's Faculty of Applied Sciences student, Esra Süne, won the Second Best Oral Presentation Award
During the "Simultaneous 13th National Animal Husbandry Science Congress and 16th National Animal Husbandry Student Congress," organized by the Zootec Federation in Ankara from October 26 to 28, 2023, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of our Republic, our University's Faculty of Applied Sciences student, Esra Süne, a fourth-year student in the Department of Animal Production and Technologies, received the second-best "Best Oral Presentation" award.
The congress began with a visit to Anıtkabir to express gratitude to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all his comrades, especially in the 100th year of our Republic, followed by the opening sessions held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Atatürk Conference Hall.
On the second day of the congress, our student, Esra Süne, presented a paper titled "Determining University Students' Knowledge and Preferences Regarding Organic Farming and Organic Food" at the International Agricultural Education Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
A total of 21 oral presentations and 28 poster presentations by students from 26 different universities in Turkey's Animal Husbandry and Animal Production and Technologies Departments were evaluated by the jury, and the universities of Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University, Muş Alparslan University, and Ankara University were recognized with awards for their rankings.
Esra Süne, a fourth-year student in our University's Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Animal Production and Technologies, and also the President of the Zootec Society, who received the second-best "Best Oral Presentation" award, expressed her gratitude to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, and our Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, as well as her fellow student contributors, Özlem Çelen and Helin Akdemir, and their academic advisor, Dr. Hülya Hanoğlu Oral.
