A Workshop on the Potential, Problems and Future of Turkey’s Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Held
“The Potential, Problems and Future of Turkey’s Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Workshop” was organized by our university’s Faculty of Applied Sciences and Application and Research Center of Muş Tulip (LALEM).
Rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat as the Honorary Chairman of the Workshop, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ as the Workshop Chairman, and Assistant Professor Ahmet Yenikalaycı as the Workshop Coordinator participated in the workshop. The final report of the workshop was shared with the public.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ulaş Çaydaş, Secretary General Harun Demir, General Director of Agricultural Research and Policies of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Nevzat Birisik, General Manager of Plant Production of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Mehmet Hasdemir, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Seed Registration and Certification Center Manager Şakir Berktaş, Head of Field and Horticulture Department Veyis Yurtkulu, Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mehmet Aydın, General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Plant Production, General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises, Seed Registration and Certification Central Directorate, Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution, Provincial Agriculture and Forestry managers and their staff, academics from different universities, heads of public institutions, representatives of stakeholder institutions and the Eastern Anatolia Development Agency also attended the workshop.
Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, Mehmet Aydın, Dr. Mehmet Hasdemir and Dr. Nevzat Birisik gave a speech in the workshop. Based on the presented papers, a 47-item final report was created.
The workshop ended with goodwill wishes.
