A seminar on Muş Province Flora, Endemics, and Conservation was Held at Sabahattin Zaim Conference Hall

The seminar was attended by Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, Director of the Tulip Application and Research Center Dr. Res. Assist. Ahmet Yenikalaycı, Metin Yıldırak, Director of Nature Conservation National Parks Branch, Samet Aşkın, Director of Plant Production and Plant Health Branch at the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Haluk Aydınoğlu, Director of Food and Feed Branch, Prof. Dr. Murat Ünal, Director of Van Flora Application and Research Center at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Demir, Faculty Member of the Department of Biology at Bitlis Eren University, along with other faculty members and students.

During his speech, Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ emphasized the agricultural importance of endemic plants, their crucial role in beekeeping, and highlighted a guided project supported by MAUN. He mentioned that within the Muş Province Endemic Plants project, 94 endemic plant species were identified, and the output of the project was published as the Muş Province Endemic Plants book.

During the seminar, Prof. Dr. Murat Ünal discussed the conservation of Muş endemics, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Demir provided information on the diversity of Muş plants and endemics.

The seminar concluded with a Q&A session and a group photo after the presentations.
