40 People from Our Volunteer Team Went to Adıyaman

After the earthquake disaster in our country, our university staff, who organized in-kind and cash aid for the disaster victims, went to Adıyaman today with a team of volunteers.

A volunteer team was formed within the scope of ongoing earthquake zone relief efforts at our university. A team of 40 academic and administrative staff volunteers will participate in the classification and distribution of aid packages in the earthquake zone.

Meeting at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, the volunteer team, which completed its preparations under the supervision of Rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat and Secretary General Harun Demir, set off today to help certain points in Adıyaman.

Rector Polat, who sent the team to Adıyaman, said “We are happy to see that all university staff have been working hard to help disaster victims in partnership with public institutions and organizations, philanthropists and voluntary organizations since the first day of the earthquake. Our city exhibits extraordinary examples of an admirable aid mobilization.”
