ARTEMPATİ Exhibition Draws Intense Interest from Art Enthusiasts!
Organized in collaboration between Muş Alparslan University Vocational School of Technical Sciences and the Culture-Art Application and Research Center, the "Art Empathy" Contemporary Art Applications Exhibition, conceptualized and contributed by students from the Department of Handicrafts and Design for the first time in Muş, received a substantial response from participants.
Held in the Handicrafts Department building, the exhibition, consisting of 17 works covering a wide range of themes from societal events to current problems, wars, environmental and health issues, saw a strong attendance from the university administration, local protocol, institution directors, academic-administrative staff, and students at its opening.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, emphasized the powerful impact of art on human existence in his opening speech, stating, "As Muş Alparslan University, we attach great importance to art beyond science and technology. Art is at the forefront of actions that engrave human existence into the universe. Therefore, we support artistic activities as a university and continue our goal of making Muş a center for culture and art."
Assist. Prof. Dr. Fatih Şevgin, the Director of the Vocational School of Technical Sciences, expressed his gratitude to the professors and students who contributed to the exhibition, saying, "I would also like to thank our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, for his value and contributions to art."
The curator of the exhibition, Abdulkadir Öznülüer, pointed out that the exhibition is the first contemporary art applications exhibition held in Muş, revealing that students produced works not only using traditional art methods but also with contemporary art methods and materials. Expressing satisfaction with the interest shown in the exhibition and emphasizing the wide and diverse forms of expression in contemporary art, Öznülüer stated, "Today's art has the ability to express itself with any method and material without limiting itself. The works produced by our students touch on a wide range of themes, from societal events to the mysteries of human psychology. This exhibition has brought out the cultural and artistic potential of Muş, providing a significant art platform for the region."
