Meaningful Visit to Our Rector from the Founding Rector of Our University, Prof. Dr. Nihat İnanç, Ahead of the Opening Ceremony of the 2023-2024 Academic Year
Our university, officially established on May 29, 2007, has rapidly improved its quality since its foundation and has become one of the most important universities in our region. Prof. Dr. Nihat İnanç, who played a leading role in the nucleus of this developmental process and served as the Founding Rector of our university from 2007 to 2016, visited our city at the invitation of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, to participate in the 2023-2024 Academic Year Opening Ceremony of our university.
Before the Academic Opening Ceremony, Prof. Nihat İnanç paid a visit to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican. During this visit, Prof. İnanç was accompanied by our Rector's Advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özalper, and the Director of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Dr. Assistant Prof. Fatih Şevgin. Throughout the visit, Prof. Dr. Nihat İnanç reminisced with our Rector, Alican, about his memories related to our city and university during their tour of the Central Complex of our university.
During this visit, the services provided by our professor during his tenure as the founding rector were also remembered. As a token of appreciation for these services, our Rector informed Prof. İnanç that, in return, the name of the First Central Classrooms in our Central Complex had been changed to "Prof. Dr. Nihat İnanç Central Classrooms" with the colors of the period when our university was founded. In the face of this meaningful gift from our Rector, Prof. İnanç was moved and expressed his gratitude to our Rector and the Muş Alparslan University family for his services.
During this meeting, our Rector also presented Prof. Dr. Nihat İnanç with a book entitled "Malazgirt Diaries," bearing his own signature.
