Under the leadership of our university, Technical Personnel from Various Cities Receive Training Support
A total of 85 technical personnel serving in 14 provinces attended the courses organized by Dr. Onur Şahin, the Head of the Department of Animal Production and Technologies in the Faculty of Applied Sciences.
Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, said, "Within the scope of the Regional Development-Focused Mission Specialization and Differentiation Program, Muş Alparslan University, as the Pilot State University in the field of livestock, continues its efforts to develop the livestock sector in our city and neighboring cities without interruption, while also contributing to the national livestock sector."
Furthermore, Karadağ pointed out that a protocol was signed on 30.01.2019 between Muş Alparslan University Continuous Education Application and Research Center Directorate and the Turkey Cattle Breeders' Association for consultancy support and personnel training for breeding activities in cattle raised in Turkey. Under this protocol, courses are regularly organized for technical personnel involved in breed improvement activities in cattle by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Turkey Cattle Breeders' Association. Muş Alparslan University has provided training to a total of 560 technical personnel engaged in breed improvement activities through the courses organized within the scope of this protocol.
Dr. Onur Şahin stated that as part of the educational activities, they organized courses in Balıkesir on September 4-6, 2023, on "Breeder Selection Based on Type Classification in Black-and-White Holstein Breed Cattle" and on September 6-8, on "Breeder Selection Using the Fleckscore Method in Simmental and Fleckvieh Breed Cattle."
Dr. Onur Şahin expressed his thanks to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, as well as Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, for their support of the courses provided to technical personnel.
