Our Faculty Members Participated in UFUK Europe Programme
Organised by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and TÜBİTAK, 'UFUK Europe Programme Research Universities and Regional Development Universities Information Event' was hosted by Gazi University.
Vice Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, Director of the Institute of Science and Technology Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selçuk Sağır and Alparslan TTO Manager Dr. Lecturer Necattin Cihat İçyer attended the meeting. Prof. Dr. Necattin Cihat İçyer attended the meeting. At the meeting, which started with the opening speech of Gazi University Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız, information on various issues such as the purpose, scope, target and activity plan of the programme was given.
Emphasising that the programme will bring important gains, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Karadağ said the following on the subject: "As Muş Alparslan University, we are a Pilot State University in the field of animal husbandry within the scope of Regional Development-oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialisation programme and we are taking rapid steps in this field. In addition, with a decision taken by the Council of Higher Education, our university has been declared as Kabayemde Meadow Pasture and Forage Crops Joint Application and Research Centre. Under the chairmanship of our university, Çukurova University, Dicle University and Ondokuz Mayıs University have started to work in cooperation and partnership. Animal husbandry is a strategic sector for our province and region and we emphasise the importance of studies in this field at every opportunity. We also participated in the Horizon Europe Programme in order to share the opportunities it will provide for our university and our country and our work in this field with stakeholders and to evaluate cooperation opportunities with other universities. The Horizon Europe Programme aims to support science and innovation activities with a huge budget of 95.5 billion Euros between 2021-2027. We firmly believe that the event will be an important step for cooperation and developments in the field of science and technology. On this occasion, I would like to thank the Council of Higher Education and TÜBİTAK for organising the event, Gazi University for hosting the event and everyone who contributed."
