Council of Higher Education (YÖK) 2022 Outstanding Achievement Awards Applications are open now.

The awards will be given in eleven categories under three main themes.

Applications for the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Outstanding Achievement Awards for 2022 will be open on Monday, April 25, 2022. The applications for the awards, which have been given by the Council of Higher Education since 2017, will be closed on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 24.00. 

 - For the First Time This Year, Awards in the "Special Area" Title will be Given to Their Owners

As of this year, Special Field Award categories have been added to the YÖK Outstanding Achievement Awards, which were given in seven categories under two main theme as Individual and Institutional in previous years. Thus, the awards will be given in eleven categories under three main theme: Individual, Corporate and Special Areas.

The Individual Awards include the Doctoral Thesis of the Year Award which will be given in four different categories, namely Science and Engineering Sciences, Fine Arts and Architecture, Health and Sports Sciences and Social and Human Sciences, and applications to these awards will be accepted by the doctoral thesis holder for the dissertations completed within the previous year and the thesis advisor together. These awards aim is to draw attention to the importance of teacher-student joint work and success.

The Corporate Awards will be given in five different categories: Digital Transformation and Big Data Studies, Social Responsibility, International Cooperation, University-Business Cooperation and Contribution to Local Development Award. Applications for these awards will be made by higher education institutions. These awards aim to encourage and disseminate innovative studies and good practice examples completed in the previous year by higher education institutions.

 - National Innovation Award and Science Diplomacy Award

The Special Field Awards, which will be given for the first time in 2022, will be given in two categories as the National Innovation Award and the Science Diplomacy Award. Applications for these awards will be made by the owner of the study. The studies to be applied for these awards must have been carried out and completed by the instructor in the year preceding the year of application. The awards in this category aim to encourage the studies of the lecturers in the field of national innovation and science diplomacy, which are considered as a priority for the interests of higher education and our country.
